Ride Guide on OLN featured Sun Peaks Resort near Kamloops, BC on August 10 and it turned out to be not far from here (2 hours drive) so we decided to visit there today (our last day in Vernon).  The quad chair gives access to over 2000' vertical and 40 Km of singletrack. There's a Canada Cup DH and Dual Slalom, plus lots of really great tight, twisty and 'stunt-littered' singletrack - a bit like Ravenshoe but on a 45 degree slope!

There are many good trails on Vancouver's North Shore at Mt Seymour (Trailhead just past 'Km 5' marker post for Corkscrew, Neds, Severed Dick, Bogeyman, etc) but the stunts and steepness were way too difficult for me - still interesting to see them and ride the rest of the trails, though.
