My Orangeville "Roads And No Trails" ride last week generated a lot
of interest from guys who wanted to do this sort of ride, and this week
the attendence quadrupled - perhaps there'll be 16 there next week!
Long time ODSC'r Rich (XR650L) was joined by two 'newbies" who saw this
ride posted on the ODSC Forum and decided to give it a try - Jeff and Anthony,
both on KLR650s. We rode lots of gravel roads with lots of twists and turns
and elevation changes, although the pictures seem to suggest there's only
straight roads there - not so, it's a great area for dual sport riding.

We took lots of breaks and rode an easy pace, and even took time out
for Rich to ride the huge sandhill (the picture doesn't do justice to the
steepness) on 3rd Line near Terra Nova. The stream near the sandhill
(below left) had several large brightly coloured fish (rainbow trout?)
which would have made a change to the ritual pizza a short while later
at Creemore. Perhaps we should apply for a Corporate Rate and hold the
next AGM here?
